 For the first time since 2004 a champion not named Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic or Andy Murray has been crowned at Rogers Cup presented by National Bank, after No. 13 seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga won in straight sets on Sunday afternoon. Up against No. 2 seed Federer in the final, the Frenchman beat his fourth Top 10 player in a row at the tournament en route to a 7-5, 7-6(3) victory. Only dropping one set the entire week, Tsonga’s serving in the final was incredible. He hit 11 aces past Federer and won an amazing 94 per cent of his first serves.
