 PLISKOVA EDGES GIORGI IN LINZ EPICIn a final pitting WTA Rising Star against WTA Rising Star, it was Karolina Pliskova who came out on top against Camila Giorgi for the Generali Ladies Linz title - but just barely. After letting a 5-3 lead go en route to dropping the first set in a tie-break, Pliskova came out firing from the beginning of the second set, storming ahead 4-0 and eventually taking the set, 6-3, and then again storming out to a 5-1 lead in the third set, seemingly on her merry way to a runaway victory.
