Just caught the Dawn of the Planet of the Apes at GSC 1 Utama and it is a pretty good show (unexpected). Yes, it has the usual post-apocalyptic story-line but with the roles of the human vs non-human roles being reversed, there is enough to keep the audience entertained for 2 hours or so. As always, in true Hollywood tradition, the ending leaves the story opened to Planet of the Apes 3 and I do look forward to catching that one when it comes out.
FYI, I saw this movie in Dolby Atmos, which if you have not tried it, you really should. If you are not familiar with the technical aspects of Dolby Atmos, there basically is an additional row of speakers in the middle of the cinema which adds to the added audio realism of the cinema experience. I even look forward to the day when we have this in our own living rooms!
At any rate, do catch this movie at your nearest cinema. You won't regret it!
